In a written statement made by the Black Sea Hazelnut and Products Exporters' Association, information was provided regarding Turkey's hazelnut exports for the 2023-24 season, which started on September 1, 2023 and ended on August 31, 2024.
The statement stated that Turkey sold 303 thousand 458 thousand tons of hazelnuts in the 2023-2024 export period, generating an income of 2 billion 349 million 117 thousand 726 dollars.
It was reminded that in the previous period, the income obtained from the sale of 298 thousand 557 tons of products was 1 billion 795 million 189 thousand 783 dollars. In the statement, it was stated that the hazelnut exports of the 2023-2024 season increased by 1.64 percent with 4 thousand 901 tons compared to the previous season, and the following was recorded: "In terms of value, it increased by 30.86 percent with 553 thousand 927 dollars. There is also a relationship on the basis of countries and commodity groups in the detailed comparison of the last 2 seasons. With the hope of reaching export figures in higher tonnages, we wish the new season to be beneficial for our exporters, producers and all stakeholders of our sector.
