Cereals production decreased with a rate of 12.3% when compared with the previous year and approximately became 34.2 million tonnes. In the dry pulses group, chick pea, dry beans, red lentil production became respectively 413 thousand tonnes, 247 thousand tonnes and 250 thousand tonnes. The production of potatoes, one of tuber crops, decreased by 7.2% and became 6.4 million tonnes.
Vegetables production decreased with a rate of 0.9% when compared with the previous year and approximately became 33.3 million tonnes.
Fruits production decreased in 2025 when compared with the previous year
Fruits, beverage and spices crops production became 19.6 million tonnes in 2025 with an decrement of 30.9% when compared with the previous year.
In the fruits group, when compared with the previous year, decrements became in the production of apple by 48.3%, strawberries by 1.9%, peaches by 46.1%, nectarine by 44.1%, cherries by 70.6%, grapes by 27.5%, and pomegranates by 10.2%.
In the citrus group, increment became in the production of mandarin by 5.8%, while decrements in oranges production by 17.5%, in lemons production by 34.4%. In nuts group, decrements became in hazelnuts production by 38.5%, in walnuts production by 38.2% and in pistachios production by 61.5%.
Decrements became in the production of banana by 1.2% and olive by 34.7%
