International Flour Industrialists' and Grainers' Association (IAOM) Eurasia President Dr. Eren Günhan Ulusoy stated that while an income of 680 million dollars was obtained in the first half, they aim to close the year with an income of approximately 1 billion 500 million dollars in return for 4 million tons of flour exports.
The sector achieved the highest flour export of all time in the world history with 3 million 663 thousand tons of flour export in 2023.
When we look at the countries we exported to in the first 6 months, Iraq, Djibouti and Syria markets stand out.
Considering the export markets, compared to the same period last year, exports to Sudan increased by 355 percent, exports to Djibouti increased by 323 percent, exports to Egypt increased by 291 percent and exports to Indonesia increased by 105 percent.
