Turkey had a revenue of 363 million dollars from a total of 623 thousand tons of tomato exports in 2021. About half of the said exports were made to Russia.
Russia allowed 50 thousand tons of tomato import on December 1, 2017, and the quota was increased to 100 thousand tons by doubling the tomato import in 2018. Then, Russia approved a total of 150 thousand tons of tomato imports in 2019. The quota, which was increased to 200 thousand tons in 2020, was increased to 250 thousand tons and then to 300 thousand tons in 2021.
