The restriction on the export of whole and skimmed milk powder was lifted as of July 5.
The message sent by the Ministry to sector representatives included the following statements: "With the approval of the Ministry Office dated 05.07.2024; as of the date of this approval, it has been deemed appropriate to end the measures applied in the context of export registration for skim milk powder (Custom Tarif :0402.10) and whole milk powder (Custom Tarif :0402.21) exports and to allow registration by all General Secretariats of Exporters' Associations (without prejudice to other legislation provisions)."
As is known, the fluctuations in the raw milk market in Turkey in recent years have created serious problems in the sector. It is expected that the termination of restrictions on the export of whole and skim milk powder will create liveliness in the sector where demand is low.
It is thought that the decision in question will support the melting of stocks.
