Chicken meat production was 199 thousand 950 tonnes, hen egg production was 1.73 billion units
In March, hen egg production increased by 4.4% while chicken meat production decreased by 1.5%, number of the slaughtered chicken decreased by 6.5% and turkey meat production decreased by 7.3% compared with the same month of the previous year. In January-March period, hen egg production increased by 3.8%, chicken meat production decreased by 2.5%, number of the slaughtered chicken decreased by 6.1% and turkey meat production decreased by 9.2% compared with the same period of the previous year.
