Güngör Şarman, General Manager of Tariş Olive and Olive Oil Association, was the guest of the Agricultural Analysis program prepared and presented by Bloomberg HT Agriculture Editor İrfan Donat.
Sarman predicted a 40 percent increase in yield compared to last season. Underlining that the upward trend in costs continues and seems to continue, Şarman said that the 35 TL purchase price announced for extra virgin olive oil may be revised according to the conditions in the coming period. Regarding the consumer prices of olive oil, Şarman said, "Under the current conditions, it must be accepted that the shelf prices will go up."
for the 2026 crop, Taris announced an advance price of 80 lira per kilo for seedless dried grapes, regardless of quality.
The 2026 olive harvest is expected to start earlier than last year thanks to favorable weather conditions and the trees being well-rested.
