It imports approximately 1.3 billion dollars of cashews, 1 billion dollars of almonds and 200 million dollars of pistachios annually.

Although our exports are very low, India always has a significant potential for hazelnuts, considering its large population of about 300 million high-income groups and its nut consumption habits. In order to increase hazelnut consumption in India, promotional activities that will focus on the nutritional values and health benefits of hazelnuts are essential.
