The hail, which affected the Eğirdir district as well as Gelendost, damaged apple trees. An area of approximately 5000 acres was affected by the damage.
Isparta Chamber of Agriculture President Mustahattin Can Selçuk stated that the hailstorm occurred two days ago.
Last year, we had a yield of around 1.25 million tons. Earlier this year, we lost 30 percent of our yield due to the agricultural frost. Hailstorms also occurred on top of this agricultural frost. We expect losses of around 150000 tons.
